Certain installations of Internet Explorer may not properly
recognize some Adobe PDF files.
If you are using Internet Explorer and you are unable to download a PDF file,
you may receive a message like this:
| File does not begin with "%PDF-" |
How can I resolve this problem?
Force Acrobat Reader to open the document
in a separate window by
removing Acrobat Reader as a helper file:
For Acrobat
Reader 6.0
- On the menu, select: Edit, Preferences,
General
- On the General Preferences page high-light Options
- Uncheck the box next to "Display PDF In Browser."
- Save your changes and exit.
For Acrobat Reader 5.0
- On the menu, select Edit, Preferences, Options
- Uncheck the box next to "Display PDF
In Browser."
- Save your changes and exit.
For Acrobat Reader 4.0
- On the menu, select: File, Preferences, General
- Uncheck the box next to "Web Browser
Integration."
- Save your changes and exit.
