December 2022 Newsletter

Season's Greetings!

Season's greetings from the entire crew at BoardBook! Wishing you a joyous holiday season with peace and cheer in the New Year. BoardBook’s offices will be closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3; however, we will be monitoring voicemail and email for any time-sensitive issues.

Tell us what you think

Every year, BoardBook collects feedback from customers like you to see how well we are meeting your needs and to learn how we can improve our service to you. Each response is very important to us. We rely on your feedback to help us prioritize updates, upgrades, and additions to BoardBook Premier as well as future content such as this newsletter, user guides, and our new Lunch and Learn series.

Keep an eye on your inbox for an email from Alchemer (the program we use for the survey) during the second week of January. Thank you in advance!

Updated BoardBook Help Menu

Now when you click on the circle question mark icon at the top right of your screen, you will see two options for additional help – "BoardBook Administration and Meeting Management" and "BoardBook Board Member and Other Viewer Help."

BoardBook Administration and Meeting Management Help takes you to all of the great PDF guides and video tutorials prepared specifically for users who put together board or committee meetings, oversee users and committees, or update templates.

BoardBook Board Member and Other Viewer Help will bring users to a series of PDF guides and video tutorials designed for board members and other users who only use BoardBook to view meetings and materials.

Canceling Meetings and Copying Agenda Items

Did you know that you can quickly cancel a meeting in BoardBook and then copy items from the canceled meeting into a future meeting?

To cancel a meeting, simply select “Cancel Meeting” from the Meeting Status drop-down menu. Canceling a meeting does not change the meeting’s status. For example: canceling a meeting that is in the “Published” status will leave the meeting published but provide a note that the meeting has been canceled. Doing so will allow you to continue to display that meeting to the board and/or public page.

After canceling a meeting, you can use the +Import button on the Edit Agenda toolbar to copy your agenda items and attachments into a new or different meeting in three easy steps:

  1. From the Edit Agenda screen, click “+Import.”
  2. Select the meeting from which you would like to copy in the “From Agenda” drop-down.
  3. Check off the items you would like to copy and click “Import Agenda Item(s).”

In-depth instructions for canceling meetingsimporting agenda items, and many other BoardBook tasks can be found by clicking the question mark icon (in the upper right of your BoardBook screen) and selecting “BoardBook Help.”
