What is BoardBook?

Getting ready for a board meeting is a lot of work. For the staff, it’s gathering the necessary documents and creating an agenda packet. For the board members, it’s reviewing the information and being prepared to tackle the work of the board.

BoardBook is an online service that streamlines the board agenda and packet preparation process, helping improve the effectiveness of your board meetings and making meeting preparation simple for all of the key players.

BoardBook was developed by the Texas Association of School Boards, a statewide, nonprofit association that has served local school boards since 1949. We know how boards need to work to effectively serve their stakeholders.

I have been using BoardBook for four months now, and I love it! I would hate to go back to paper meetings. BoardBook saves me two to three days of printing all the material, then collating it around a large conference room table. It is a great program!
Barbara Lynn, executive assistant/director of board operations,
Minnesota School Boards Association
Moving to electronic board meetings has been a very positive, cost-saving, and efficient choice for our district. BoardBook staff goes above and beyond to provide the necessary training and ensure that your transition from paper to electronic board meetings goes seamlessly. I highly recommend BoardBook!

The difference is similar to using a typewriter and a computer. BoardBook is the quick, modern way of building board packets.
Carolyn Roberts, superintendent secretary,
Davis School District in Utah
In three lessons I had produced my very first agenda packet. It was fast, easy, and virtually fail proof. Correcting mistakes or making last-minute changes is so quick and easy, it has to be experienced to be believed. BoardBook is absolutely the easiest computer program I have ever used, and the technical support from BoardBook is excellent.
Darla J. Warren, business manager,
Mississippi School Boards Association
It took me a while to make the decision because I didn’t want to leave my comfort zone, but now that I’m using BoardBook, I realized that it’s not scary at all and I should have started the process sooner.
Dawn Maslowski, administrative assistant,
Mahtomedi Public Schools in Minnesota
